Institutional Data Use
Institutional data within CourseWorks is used to support course delivery, instructional evaluation, and approved research activities in alignment with institutional agreements. Use of this data is limited to authorized educational purposes and governed by the terms established with participating institutions. CourseWorks does not use institutional data for purposes outside of these agreements.
Research & Evaluation
CourseWorks may use aggregated and anonymized data to support research, analysis, and evaluation of platform effectiveness. This data is used to better understand system performance, instructional outcomes, and opportunities for improvement, and does not include information that identifies individual users or institutions. Research and evaluation activities are conducted in alignment with institutional agreements and applicable privacy requirements.

Data handling and use are governed by institutional agreements that define permitted purposes, access, and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
